Vera Playa is situated on the Mediterranean coast roughly half way between the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol. The nearest airport is Almeria, roughly an hour away by motorway. In the Summer there are regular flights from many airports in the UK, but in winter the service is much reduced. Murcia airport is better served in winter, and a new (paying) motorway connects it directly with Vera, giving a travelling time of not much over an hour.

Alicante is well served all year round and is just over 2 hours by motorway (free). Both Alicante and Almeria have bus services to Vera, although this can take some time. A regular local bus service connects Vera to Vera Playa. If you need details just ask us.

Car hire is often the most prctical form of transport and can be arranged from the UK by internet. At present one of the cheapest we have found to be www.amigoautos.co.uk, which offer a small car from about £70 - £80 per week. Check what is available from all providers. It does vary.

Driving to Vera Playa is rather a long way, however you do it, but the route with the least driving is from Bilbao, which is about 500 miles! From Calais it is about 1400 miles. Most of can be motorway, some where you have to pay, and some free. Hotels are available on route, often at he roadside. Some people prefer to use the ordinary roads, but this takes longer, OK if you are not in a hurry.

Although not yet shown on the maps, Vera Playa is situated some 5kms north of Garrucha, and 7kms east of Vera, on the road between Garrucha and Villaricos. The turn-off for Torremar Natura is also the entrance for the Parque Acuatico (water park) and the large CONSUM supermarket. Turn left at the end of the road, and the gate to the complex is about 100 yards, just past the bar ‘A Toda Vela’.
